Situated on the south coast, Eastbourne’s unique micro climate means it’s the sunniest place in the UK year on year. Ideally positioned, Eastbourne is a gateway to 1066 Country and an excellent place to explore. The award winning resort maintains a quintessential Victorian charm whilst its elegant seafront and cosmopolitan harbour keeps visitors returning year after year. From the iconic Beachy Head and dramatic cliffs to the World famous Carpet Gardens and international events such as Airbourne to scrumptious restaurants and a wealth of galleries and heritage, Eastbourne reflects the very best of the British south coast.
Eastbourne has an abundance of other attractions and activities. Take the Dotto train from picturesque Holywell to Harbour Point and discover the iconic Grade II listed pier with its many amusements. The Redoubt Fortress and Military Museum is perfect for history buffs, with a rich military collection spanning 200 hundred years. Eastbourne Heritage Centre is also worth seeing. Housed in a handsome Victorian building on the seafront, visitors will find a collection of artifacts depicting life from the 1800s to the present day. Not as far down memory lane, the How We Lived Then Museum features a collection of exhibits ranging from 50’s commodities like Oxo Rinso, to rationed items from the Second World War. http://www.how-we-lived-then.co.uk/
Feeling hungry now? There’s nothing quite like freshly cooked fish and chips and a stroll along the prom, or why not try one of the many beachside cafes for an alfresco lunch…with a glass of wine or two? Many of Eastbourne’s best restaurants can be found at the end of Terminus Road on the seafront. Cafe Belge is one of the best and serves a wide range of seafood dishes. They also stock a large collection of Belgian beers.
So why not join us for what promises to be a hugely enjoyable and entertaining day? We look forward to seeing you.
